We hunted Tahr in the rugged Southern Alps of New Zealand, this is no place for bad gear, you need to be comfortable climbing rock faces, watercourses and razorback ridges.
I was sick of having sling problems while climbing, carrying a pack with enough gear to survive a night on the mountain and a rifle was tricky especially in the really steep stuff where one false move could mean disaster. We found that confidence comes when you feel safe, when you have two free hands a comfortable balanced load and the security of knowing your rifle is stowed away from damage--your hunting only gets better.
Eberlestock packs only offer these features, and you can tell that someone who has done some hunting has developed, tested and produced the ultimate pack. Dave and I spent six days hunting with an Eberlestock pack each, we both reckoned they were the best items of gear on us.

Guide spotting Red deer with the Carl Zeiss 85t diascope. These scopes offer crystal clear vision at long distances and have a brilliant twilight light performance. The 85 millimetre objective lens lets plenty of light in even when there is very little.
" I have seen a big stag stick his tongue up his left nostril at over two miles distance and very good for trophy evaluation too". Bernard Holdsworth. see their website www.carlzeiss.com

"I purchased a bino harness from Crooked Horn outfitters last year, finally I could get around the hills and mountains without the annoying "Bino Swing", occasionally a bit of crawling is required to get into the animal zone, the Crooked Horn Bino Harness prevents your valuable glasses dragging on the turf keeping them clean, after all your vision is the most important thing when searching for game." www.crookedhorn.com

The Crooked Horn shooting sticks simply fold up and sit in their pouch--you hardly know you've got them

Taking a shot with the Crooked Horn shooting sticks, the saying goes "when your steady your ready" when the shot exceeds stand up/free hand distance or a lying prone shot is obstructed by shrubbery, shooting sticks are fantastic, we always have them on us wherever we hunt. |
