New Zealand Hunting with AA Hunting

After your journey to New Zealand from wherever - a good nights sleep to shake off any jetlag maybe just what the doctor ordered, as we have already stated day one of your New Zealand hunting holiday is totally on us-free, there would be no point having the hunt of your life feeling sleepy or fatigued.

A great home cooked evening meal like roast lamb with all the extras will be served on the first night accompanied by a good local wine, here you may be subject to a few hunting stories and an update on what the animals are doing.

The first morning (like every morning) we treat you to a good hearty breakfast of bacon, eggs, hash browns, sausages, toast, and good coffee - only then can we take on the day.

A look at our game with the spotting scope from along way off should reveal a mouth watering view of New Zealand trophy stags, bucks, rams and Billy's it is then we might make a plan to hunt a particular area.

Once all game has bedded down for the day we head back to the range. We have a very high percentage of one shot kills simply because a wee bit of practise before the hunt helps a hell of a lot.

We supply rifles to use at no cost - they will be accurate and totally suitable for the game pursued, we do recommend you familiarize yourself with them and don't mind if you let rip a few rounds at our life size stag, (a steel cutout with a removable chest section)---it can be shot at from any distance less than 400 yards.

We offer to those that want to a chance to help rid our area of feral goats, we have a number of neighbouring properties with wild feral goats there for the taking we include in every package the taking of up to three goats of any size or gender, this is a great way of getting you eye in and further familiarizing yourself with your rifle of choice.

Then the hunt for your Trophy can commence, you are confident to do the business with the animal you desire, it might take several days to finally succeed but that's hunting.

If you wish we can do a bit of varminting - there are good numbers of rabbits, hares and possums to shoot. This is often combined with an evening hunt on the way back to the lodge, this is also complimentary to any of our hunting packages.
